Path planning with PH G splines in R

چکیده
In this article, we justify the use of parametric planar Pythagorean Hodograph spline curves in path planning. The elegant properties of such splines enable us to design an efficient interpolator algorithm, more precise than the classical Taylor interpolators and faster than an interpolator based on arc length computations.

PSO-Based Path Planning Algorithm for Humanoid Robots Considering Safety
In this paper we introduce an improvement in the path planning algorithm for the humanoid soccer playing robot which uses Ferguson splines and PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization). The objective of the algorithm is to find a path through other playing robots to the ball, which should be as short as possible and also safe enough. Ferguson splines create preliminary paths using random generated para...
متن کاملStudy of Evolutionary and Swarm Intelligent Techniques for Soccer Robot Path Planning
Finding an optimal path for a robot in a soccer field involves different parameters such as the positions of the robot, positions of the obstacles, etc. Due to simplicity and smoothness of Ferguson Spline, it has been employed for path planning between arbitrary points on the field in many research teams. In order to optimize the parameters of Ferguson Spline some evolutionary or intelligent al...

Pythagorean hodograph curves (PH curves) have a number of advantages over other splines commonly used in planar robot path planning: (i) the integral of curvature is small; (ii) the curve, its length, curvature and total “bending energy” are known in closed-form; (iii) start and end positions and directions are straightforwardly usable as boundary conditions; and (iv) length can be traded off a...

متن کاملMobile robot path planning with eta3-splines using spatial-fitness-sharing variable-length genetic algorithm
This paper presents a novel evolutionary G–continuous (continuous-differentiable curvature) path planner for nonholonomic wheeled mobile robots. The evolutionary path planner generates intermediate configurations connected via η-splines that yields a collision-free G–continuous path, which each point on the path has a closed-form expression. The path planner is implemented as architecture of is...
